My friend Wayne Brown, was a friend from the first time I met him. We had many things in common. We were both from the Delta and both knew many of the same people in the Crenshaw / Sarah area. He was a great leader and teacher in our church. If you needed someone that you knew could get the job done at church or anywhere you would ask Wayne. He was a strong leader in our deacon body and widows ministry. My deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends who like me will miss him. Your friend in love. Glen Richardson

We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to be neighbors of you and Wayne. He had such a big heart and ready smile. Don't know what we would have done without his help and his assistance in finding such good people to help us out like Pete and Cullen. We could always trust his advise. I remember on his 70th birthday I called (not knowing it was his birthday) to find the name of a plumber - Bobby had cracked the tank of the downstairs toilet. He came to look at it, bought the tank and fixed it! What a guy!!! When I fell through the ceiling of the attic - he said if he were 30 years younger he would fix it! I was worried that he was climbing around in the attic let alone remotely thinking he would fix it! He was always there for all of us in the neighborhood and we loved him for his kindness and generosity. The world is a sadder place without Wayne and there aren't too many like him anymore. Lil we are here for you and anything you need - even a shoulder. We love you as we loved Wayne. Bob and Barbara Lee
